Channel Check scores your Twitch channel across 16 checks in three sets, each out of 100. Here is what each set measures and why the score deliberately ignores some things you might expect it to count.
The three sets
Set up your channel. Eight checks covering your picture, bio, links, tags, offline banner, language, schedule and panels. These are the settings that decide how your stream is shown in browse, search and recommendations, and they are the fastest to fix.
Build Community. Six checks on whether you have found streamers your own size, know anything about them, and have shown up where they are. This is the part no algorithm does for you.
Activate Growth. Three checks on raids, a tracked link, a schedule you keep, and highlights that outlive the stream.
Why your follower count is not in the score
The score measures actions, never outcomes. Followers, viewers and watch hours are results. They are also mostly lagging, largely outside your control on any given day, and useless as instructions.
A channel with 30 followers and every setting right scores higher than a channel with 3,000 and a blank offline banner. That is intentional. The score answers "what can I do this afternoon", not "how am I doing".
What to fix first
Work the lowest set first, and inside it the checks worth the most points. Set up your channel is usually where the quick wins are: most of it is settings changes that take a few minutes each.
Every failed check tells you the mechanism behind it and the standard as a number, so there is no guessing about what "good" means. Where a check is banded, the copy states the bar: three notes, six raids, seven tags.
Running it again
Re-run it whenever you have made changes. The score moves immediately for settings-based checks, and over 30 days for the habit-based ones like raids and consistency.
