What is Average Viewers?

The mean number of concurrent viewers across a stream session, calculated by Twitch. Used for Affiliate and Partner requirements and category ranking.

Average viewers (also called average concurrent viewers or ACV) is the metric Twitch uses for Affiliate and Partner qualifications. It's calculated by averaging your viewer count across an entire stream session.

Your average viewer count also determines where you appear in category browse pages — higher averages mean higher placement, which means more organic discovery. This is why active growth strategies like networking and raiding are important: they boost your averages, which improves your discoverability.
