Keep playing Dark and Darker
The usual advice is to move to a quieter game. We think that's wrong. The game you already play is the one you know, and it's where the streamers like you already are. What changes is how you go about getting found.
What Dark and Darker looks like right now
51 channels are live on a typical sampling run, and 35 of them have under 10 people watching. The channel in the middle has 4.7.
Browse ranks by viewer count, so whoever's already at the top stays at the top and everyone else sits on a page nobody scrolls to. That's true of every category on Twitch. You're not doing anything wrong. That's just how the page is sorted.
Where viewers actually come from
Ask a small streamer how their regulars found them and the answer is almost never Browse. Someone raided them. Someone they know mentioned them to their own chat. Someone met them in a Discord and turned up when they went live.
Every one of those runs through another person. That's how a channel of any size gets its first hundred people, and it works the same way in Dark and Darker as anywhere else.
Why a crowded category helps you
35 of the channels live in Dark and Darker right now have under 10 people watching. Those are the people who know this game, keep the same odd hours, and want what you want. You build a community out of the people who are already there.
So the work changes shape. Getting found in Dark and Darker is a relationship problem. The viewers who stay are the ones a streamer they already watch sent over, or who knew you off-stream first. That's the part the algorithm won't do for you, and you can start on it tonight.

Watch a few of them properly. Be in chat, use their name, come back next week. Save, tag and note who you've talked to so you remember the details.
This is the part where you give first, and it's where most people quit. You're not collecting contacts. You're becoming someone a handful of streamers recognise.

Get into a Discord together, or wherever the group already talks. We list Discord servers worth joining if you don't have one.
Twitch chat is gone when the stream ends. A friendship that only exists during your broadcast starts from zero every time you go live.

When you're wrapping up, raid someone whose stream you know. Raid Finder shows who's live and worth sending your viewers to. Message Builder gives you tracked links for the posts you share, so you can see which ones people click.
Your stream is ending anyway, so a raid costs you nothing and puts real people in front of someone you rate. Tracked links tell you which of your off-stream places are doing anything, instead of guessing.
That's it. Find peers, show up for them, move it somewhere that lasts, send people their way. The tools just make each step take minutes.
What to expect
This is slow. A realistic first month is finding twenty Dark and Darker streamers your size, watching a few of them properly, and ending up with three or four you talk to regularly. There's no button here that produces viewers.
